Visit from the Sick Fairy

This past week has been an assault of sickness! Turn right, there's a guy with a cold; turn left, here's my classmate with swine flu; face forward, and it's my host mom with God-knows-what. It's insane. And what ever might be the result of all of these people getting sick?

1. My homeroom has been "suspended" for 2 days, meaning I can't go to school until Saturday (well, for now- they may get rid of Saturday, too, depending on how many sick people there are).
2. Because my host mom is sick, there's nobody in the house to take care of me, so I'm going to have to change host families. But because my next official host family isn't ready to host me yet, this next host family will only be for 2 weeks, starting from after the Hiroshima trip (next Wednesday). I don't even know who they are! They're deciding today at the Rotary meeting.
3. I have to pack up my room in the next 2 days, something I wasn't expecting to have to do until the end of the month. Yeah. Thank God it's clean, at least.

Needless to say, I am stressed. The host family thing was really sudden. And not going to school makes me stressed because it's been hard-wired into my system to feel nervous about missing school (did I miss a test? how much make up work??). But there's Hiroshima to look forward to this weekend!

Oh, something else, too- there have been talks about placing me in a new homeroom class. The new one would either be a 3rd level, "smart people" class or a second year class. Some teachers think that it was a bad idea from the start to place me in the class that I'm in (being both a 1st year and a 2nd level class), others think I still just need to adjust, I'm just sort of bewildered. I like my homeroom just fine, but I wouldn't exactly say I have super-amazing friends in it. It's a difference in maturity levels. I'm not unhappy, but the goal is to make me really comfortable and happy at my school, hence the reason why they want to see if I'd fare better in a 3rd level or 2nd year class.

Ugh... I'm stressed about all this craziness going down T_T Curse you, sick fairy!!!
