Top 3 things I love about Japan:
-Fashion. Here, it's a thing for guys AND girls. I've never seen so many well-dressed people in my life. Even the unfashionable people are fashionable.
-Trains. They'll get you everywhere you need to go, EVER. It's so much more convenient than waiting in traffic.
-Authentic Japanese food. By that I mean not the stuff they've sorta copied from other countries (hamburgers, pizza, etc). The sushi is fabulous!
Top 3 things I immensely dislike abut Japan:
-Cars. I still can't get used to the driving on the other side of the road. My gut instinct is screaming "WRONG WAY, WRONG WAY!!!"
-IT'S HOT.
-The insane amount of incorrect English study materials.
Learning a new language is:
-hard
-confusing
-annoying at times
-a very strange experience (like how my brain translates things before I consciously do and how you stop thinking in one language)
-a great learning experience
-sometimes very frustrating
-a good way to discover your unique learning styles (FLASHCARDS)
That's all for now! Just a bit of random nonsense to satisfy some questions :)

Was it a better (easier, less stressful) day today than yesterday? I hope so.
ReplyDeleteI asked Tim yesterday if he'd read your blog at all. He told me he didn't know the name of the site, so I gave it to him. I bet he's read at least the latest entries by now.
What are you eating for lunch?
*hugs*
hey, just realised you commented back on mine! :D i'm not spending hours looking at the calendar, but it is difficult sometimes to do anything but just daydream, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteit's so good to hear about what you're doing, it's like we're all able to experience it just a little bit, while still being thousands of kilometres (or miles :D) away.
keep up the great posting!
